Richard Lifshitz & Morgana Lakatos-Hayward seen here dancing in Blackpool, England at the Jr Championships April 2012.
They went on to win the whole event which is quite impressive and probably a first for a young Canadian couple. Needless to say that this couple are extremely talented and I’m sure we have only seen the beginning.
This result was less than a week after Richard & Morgana captured the Canadian Youth Latin title in Vancouver for the first time.
Viva Dance would like to congratulate Richard & Morgana for their recent success and would like to say that we are very proud and happy to be a part of your Canadian coaching team.
2010 was the first year of the Four Seasons Challenge Competition and it was a great success ! Thanks to all competitors, sponsors, our many volunteers and spectators!

Over seventy kids four to sixteen years old participated in our Kids Dance Showcase on Saturday June 13, 2009. Over 200 family members, friends and other spectators came to cheer the hard working kids as they showcased their talents and achievements.
All took home trophies and enjoyed in particular the surprise show by Eugene the Magician.
Viva Dance Students Patrick Rucinski and Ella Nusenbaum placed first in Youth Championship Standard in the recent Canadian Closed Competition that took place in Montreal on April 10 and 11, 2009. They also placed second in the Youth 10-Dance competition and third in the Youth Latin competition (from quarter-finals!) and made it to the semi-finals in Adult Championship Standard.
These are amazing results for Patrick and Ella given that this was their first competition in the Youth category in the Canadian Closed. In fact they received an official invitation to participate and perform at the Island Fantasy Ball in Nanaimo, BC in May, 2009.

At Cathy Gullo’s recent dance Gala at Famee Furlane, featuring world-famous Arunas Bizokas and Katusha Demidova, David Shmuelov and Alison Lee along with Daniel Perusina and Mia Paudula performed their competition routines for an appreciative audience. Daniel’s older brother Luka Perusina had also been scheduled to perform but his partner could not make it.
Arunas and Katusha, who came a remarkable second place in the Professional Ballrom category at the 2008 Blackpool Dance Festival (from over 200 of the world’s top couples), provided a spectacular performance as usual. However, this time there was an added element … during their show they decided to change partners! Daniel, Mia, David, and Alison bravely took on the challenge of partnering these two top professionals, and Luka found a way to join in on the fun as well!
We congratulate our students Zoran & Marija Bojic for their first place result in Adult 2 Pre-Championship Standard in the Canadian Closed Championships that took place April 10 in Montreal, Canada.
Below are some photos of them from this event:
Zoran and Marija had also placed first in their level and category at the 2009 Ontario Closed Championships.
